The Researched Solution to Traumatic Brain Injuries

Finally, however, you do not have to suffer any longer!  Researchers at UCLA have found a long-term, effective solution!  In the article “The Salutary Effects of DHA Dietary supplementation on Cognition, Neuroplasticity, and Membrane Homeostasis after Brain Trauma”1, the research team found that supplementing with an omega-3 fatty acid called docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) significantly improves brain health and function following a TBI.  DHA works to improve brain cell connections and also regrows dysfunctional brain tissue.  It stimulates powerful brain hormones that bring the brain back into balance.  One of the hormones stimulated is called brain­derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which acts as “Miracle-Gro” for brain tissue.  Simply, brain cells are able to regrow after injury.  DHA also works in brain pathways to increase stress resistance, which allows the other systems in the body to heal as a result of the brain coming back into balance. Your ability to think is amplified, while brain fog is diminished.  The symptoms related to a TBI begin to vanish as the brain is restored to healthy and optimal function and electrical connections are boosted, early aging is reduced, perception of the external world is enhanced, and the chance of developing a serious neurodegenerative disease like Alzheimer’s significantly decreases.
