Dr. Kellie has been helping the Des Moines area at Iowa Family Chiropractic since 2008, caring for all types of people and conditions. She has a passion for children and families. “Kids are very special to us,” she says. “The road to true health and a long life begins in childhood.”
Dr. Hoover grew up in the Des Moines area and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, where she met her husband of four years. She went on to attend graduate school in Davenport at Palmer College of Chiropractic, the world leader in chiropractic education. She then graduated magna cum laude with honors as a presidential scholar and a member of Pi Tau Delta.
Dr. Kellie is currently pursuing a Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics in order to better serve the children she treats. She is certified by the Academy Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP), an honor of which few doctors in the area have obtained. Dr. Kellie also enjoys caring for pregnant women, and is certified in the Webster technique, which is a method of relieving intrauterine constraint, allowing for the baby to be in the best possible position for birth. She is also a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) and takes care of many Des Moines area athletes young and old. A CCEP has the ability to help with joint pain and problems such as jaw, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knees, ankle, and feet.
“I am honored to speak with any prospective patient further to determine if they can be helped through chiropractic care,” Dr. Kellie says. “Iowa Family Chiropractic is committed to providing holistic care for all families and individuals!”
Angie recently joined the IFC team as a Chiropractic Assistant. She learned the advantages of chiropractic care during high school and continued through her college years. Angie attended Central College in Pella, IA and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Promotion. Right out of school, she started her career in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. After a short break, Angie is excited to be back in the wellness field.
During her downtime, you can find Angie and her husband, James, biking and renovating their house. She has recently developed a love for baking and crafting. They are currently spending most of their free time trying to train their two very mischievous pups, Trae and Ollie.
Rachel came to the Des Moines area from good old Orient, a small town in southwest Iowa. She spent the last 6 years in Security Forces for the Iowa Air National Guard. While still affiliated with the guard, she decided to take the next step in her life and join the team at Iowa Family Chiropractic. She is excited to learn more about chiropractic care and the multitude of benefits it offers. She is a big sports fan and enjoys cheering on the local teams. She loves books and spends most of her relaxing time reading or searching for a new great author. When not curled up with a book or screaming from the stands she will most likely be found at the latest movie premiere or going on a walk around her new home town, Waukee.
I was born and raised in Orlando, Fl and currently reside in West Des Moines with my husband, Nate, and our "furry child", Benelli. Although Nate is from Iowa, I have only lived here since September 2009. While the winter was quite a culture shock for me, I very much enjoy living in West Des Moines! Before moving to Iowa, Nate and I lived in North Carolina where Nate was stationed at Ft. Bragg. The military plays a huge part in our lives as I am also in the Air National Guard. I am a very proud American and wife!
As a small family, we enjoy taking Benelli for long walks around the neighborhood and letting her run crazy at the dog park. We also love catching all the new comedy, action, and even horror flicks. We are huge movie fans! I have recently come to love scrapbooking and baking. I try to keep myself busy at all times!
