Essential oil spotlight: RC

posted by Kellie Hoover, DC on 11/29/2016 in Blog

RC is a blend that we use often in the winter for coughs and colds, bronchitis, sinus problems, and general congestion. You can use it on the bottoms of your feet or rub a drop or two on your chest (especially before bed) to loosen congestion and open airways. For kids, you always want to be cautious applying essential oils directly to the skin. For your child, a hot compress with a drop off RC applied to the chest is a wonderful soothing touch.

RC is a must-have for any child or adult dealing with chronic sinus or asthma issues. Diffusing the blend is probably the most effective  way of using it on a regular basis. It’s made up of a few different types of eucalyptus, myrtle, pine, marjoram, lavender, cypress, and peppermint oil.
